# Instagram

## Overview

Pictures say a thousand words. There isn't a wealth of information a limits on what we can search for within it but regardless it is another social media platform for us to enumerate and dig

Searching through who they're following and follows them can help with making connections to other people. Obviously the pictures they post can help paint a picture for with their interests and who they are. You can take these pictures and do [Image OSINT ](/osint-fundamentals/images.md)on them as well to find their location or where abouts.

If the account is private search for other accounts belonging to them with similar usernames or look into people they know that have pictures of them.

Remember that you can still use [Google](/osint-fundamentals/search-engine-operators.md) with Instagram as a key word to find information
{% endhint %}

## Web Based Tools

View source on the Instagram account and find **profilePage\_**

This value will never change for the account even if they change their handle
