# Usernames and Accounts

## Overview

A lot of information can still be uncovered with just a username to go off of. This can be done by checking if the username has been used anywhere else and then connecting them to other accounts and or profiles.

## Web based tools

{% embed url="<https://namechk.com/>" %}

{% embed url="<https://whatsmyname.app/>" %}

{% embed url="<https://namecheckup.com/>" %}

You can also find names and profile pictures by going to messaging apps and looking up their username. After finding a profile picture you can do image OSINT on it too.
