# Attestation Letters

## Overview

&#x20;An **Attestation Letter** is essentially just a letter saying that you performed the penetration test. It can be a copy paste document from the [**Executive Summary**](/report-writing/findings-report.md#executive-summary)**.** The client will usually use it to give to an auditor or some kind of board showing they got a penetration test done
